6 Day: Kruger to Coast Guided Tour

Explore Johannesburg before heading to the Kruger National Park in search of the Big Five, then travelling to Swaziland and onto the St Lucia Wetlands, a World Heritage Site before ending up in Durban.

DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG 

This private fully guided tour starts in Johannesburg, where you will experience the City of Gold and its historic and modern significance.
Discover the history of Johannesburg, the city of gold.
Relive the South African dream on the streets of Newtown, the views of Westcliff and a trip to the Carlton Centre, Maboneng Precinct and Constitution Hill, before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Dinner at leisure at one of the many restaurants in Sandton.
Overnight Protea Hotel by Marriott Balalaika or similar – Breakfast

DAY 2: JOHANNESBURG/ PANORAMA ROUTE

After breakfast, depart for the Panorama Route en-route to Hazyview.
Explore the Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondawels, the world’s largest green canyon.
Continue on and visit Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Wonder View, the highest viewpoint on this route.
Stop for lunch at leisure in Graskop
In the late afternoon, arrive at Casa do Sol Hotel & Resort
Relax prior to a leisurely dinner at leisure at the hotel.
Overnight at Casa do Sol Hotel & Resort or similar – Breakfast

DAY 3: HAZYVIEW

Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel, before departing to the iconic Kruger National Park.
Enjoy a guided full day safari in an open safari vehicle.
The Kruger National Park supports a staggering variety of fauna and flora, including many bird species rare and endemic to the area.
Lunch at leisure at one of the park’s rest camps, before continuing on the bush adventure.
At the end of the day, exit the Kruger National Park, and head back to the hotel

Overnight at Casa do Sol Hotel & Resort or similar – Breakfast

DAY 4: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK 

Early breakfast at the hotel, before spending a second day on a full day guided safari in an open safari vehicle.
Explore the Kruger National Park and search for the ‘Big 5’ (Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Hippo and Elephant) and many of the fauna and flora.
Lunch at leisure at one of the park’s rest camps.
At the end of the day, exit the park at Malelane Gate.
Arrive in the late afternoon at your lodge, situated on the border of the famous park.
Enjoy pre-dinner drinks at leisure on the deck overlooking the Crocodile River, before sitting down to dinner at the hotel.
Overnight at Pestana Kruger Lodge or similar – Dinner and breakfast

DAY 5: KRUGER / HLUHLUWE

Depart the hotel after an early breakfast and travel to Hluhluwe via the beautiful Kingdom of Swaziland.
Ezulwini Valley is commonly known as the ‘Valley of Heaven’ and it contains a number of notable wildlife sanctuaries and craft markets.
Stop for lunch en route at leisure.
Re-enter South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal en route to Hluhluwe.
Arrive in the early evening at the lodge.
Dinner at leisure at the lodge.
Overnight at ANEW Hotel Hluhluwe & Safaris or similar – Breakfast

DAY 6: HLUHLUWE / DURBAN 

After breakfast, head for St Lucia, where you can enjoy a boat cruise on the St Lucia River.
View rare wildlife and birdlife, mangrove swamps and vegetated sand dunes that make for an interesting and educational cruise.
Depart for Durban, stopping en route for lunch at leisure.
In the late afternoon, arrive into Durban
